A New Year, A New Resolution of Improvement

"Progress is not a feature of nature; as with most human accomplishments, it is something that only exists and succeeds if we believe in it and devote resources to it.”

Do you and your organization believe “People are your most valuable resource”?

If so perhaps 2020 can be a year where you review how you and/or your organization are doing – really doing – on the “people” side and then commit to the investment needed to improve.

Signs of trouble could include problems with recruitment and retention?  Too much absenteeism and turnover – or worse – presenteeism (is that even on your radar)?  A growth in bullying and harassment complaints?  Is your productivity declining along with your profits or success measures?

At a personal level, are you a leader that attracts, engages and motivates, or are you one of the “people don’t quit their job, they quit their boss” bosses?

The good news is that leadership can always be improved.

There are lots of options out there, but as you undertake your personal or organizational search remember that leaders and organizations that understand the “human element”, that build and foster empathetic and tolerant environments of trust, openness and collaboration; strengthen their human capital advantage, which directly leads to greater success – loyalty, productivity and profitability.

Seek out a leadership development approach that provides the tools and training to make the needed changes to prove that people really are your most valuable resource!
